PREMIER WOOD FUELS FOR SUMMER AND WINTER

Certainly Wood returns to GLEE for the second time following a successful first year in which it gained significant interest and orders for its unique range of products.

New Products Launch
Easy Fire Pack –
Chimenea Mini Logs

Both packs being launched at Glee and the Easy Fire Pack being entered into the New Products range (see attached notes)

We are delighted to have recently made an agreement with Clifford Jones Timber to become its distributor of Blaze Away Logs, Chimenea fuel and soon wood pellets, all to be sold under the Certainly Wood brand. All these new products are produced as a bi-product from Clifford Jones Timber’s round wood timber production and so therefore from sustainable British woodland and FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) registered.

Huge demand and rising
Kiln Dried Firewood and kindling proved to be in huge demand last season and the business struggled to keep up, even though last winter was the warmest on record! Significant investment continues with new firewood and kindling processing equipment and improvements to infrastructure. The significant increase in demand comes from the move to utilising a carbon neutral fuel as a secondary source of heat in the home, not only as energy costs continue to rise but also to meet the conscious demand to reduce carbon emissions. More and more people are installing increasingly efficient wood burning stoves and the general quality of wood supplies is very poor.

Log Stores
Having launched the flat pack log stores last year demand is rising fast as people realise the need to store wood correctly. The log store has now been slightly modified with closer, narrower boards improving its appearance and a number of minor improvements to the design have also been made. In addition the CW Weathershield has been introduced as an optional extra to keep out the wet in severe weather.

New ‘Energy Heat Grading’ panel
Having launched the CW leaflet about the ‘Benefits of kiln Dried Firewood’ which has been very well received, it was felt that customers needed to be able to quickly identify the potential ‘heat energy’ from each pack sold.
A new ‘Heat Energy Grading’ system has been introduced into the leaflet and will soon be incorporated onto all new packaging. Marketing Director Nic Snell explained “ The new grading system has been created so that customers can quickly see from the packaging as to how much heat energy the product provides and this will range from 3 - 6 kW/h per Kg through 3 different grades – see back of enclosed leaflets".

Product Endorsements
Several of the major stove manufacturers and distributors now recommend Certainly Wood’s kiln dried firewood and kindling, namely – Euroheat, Arada, Charnwood, Aga, Stovax, Esse and Anglia Fireplaces & Design. Leaflets are now customised for each of these companies and leaflets are placed in every stove sold.
