When we were kids, the holidays and weekends were all about leaving home first thing in the morning and only coming back again for meals. The rest of the time was spent building dens, exploring, playing adventure games, cycling and so on. We would have gone stir crazy if we’d had to stay inside all day. Nowadays, thanks to laptops, TV, video games etc., it’s the opposite and you virtually have to drag children outside kicking and screaming.

So why not spend time together in the great outdoors as a family, whether you live in the countryside, have a small garden or have to go to a local park, to teach children just how much fun being in touch with nature can be.
