Choose a high-quality butcher's thick sausage. Many exciting flavours are available, including Lincolnshire, Cumberland, Toulouse, black pudding, pork and mixed herb, pork and leek, sweet chilli, chorizo, hickory and chipotle, spicy Tuscan, and wild boar and apple.

Separate the sausages if they are linked.
Place on the grill and cook, turning regularly.
During the final few minutes of cooking, brush with a warmed barbecue glaze.
